| Effective
Media Communications Refresher |
Skills and techniques - use them or lose them. Practice is the only
road to perfection. Prior media training gave you a solid foundation. Now
strengthen, refine and practice your skills in a controlled environment. They
will stand you in good stead when you really need them.
Effective Media
Communications Refresher Training is a one-day, interactive workshop that
provides participants with a quick review of media communications basics, along
with valuable practice in interacting with "reporters" in a variety of
settings.
Benefits of Attendance
Thousands of business
and other professionals have chosen The Ammerman Experience in order to learn
the skills needed to deal successfully with the media. Effective Media
Communications Refresher Training helps you keep those skills sharp.
Who Should
Attend
This workshop is designed for those who have attended our
flagship Effective Media Communications workshop or have had some other media
training. It assumes a basic knowledge of how to deal with the media. If it has
been 12 months or more since you have been media trained, or if you have had
little or no interaction with the media since your training, you are an ideal
candidate to attend this workshop.
Practical Learning
This
is a skills development workshop, not a lecture on concepts. As our firm's name
suggests, the training we provide is experiential. We use simulated
environments, including tough, experienced journalists. Some features of the
workshop are:
| ° |
|
A fast-paced review of the essentials of effective media
communications, along with extensive on-camera practice. |
| ° |
|
Instructors and role players with significant journalism and media
relations experience. |
| ° |
|
A total of four interviews, including two crisis press briefings.
Each exercise is videotaped and critiqued by the instructor in an open
forum. |
| ° |
|
Opportunity to be interviewed on a topic of your
choice. |
