The Ammerman Experience pioneered media training some three decades
ago. Our interactive sessions help people to become confident and proficient
when facing the media - whether in crisis or non-crisis situations. We work
with a wide range of individuals - from executives and others who have primary
responsibility as media spokespersons to those who may have to interact briefly
with reporters until a designated spokesperson is available.

| Effective
Media Communications |
A one-day workshop that develops the skills needed for a successful
encounter with the news media. Participants face tough, experienced journalists
during seven videotaped, interview simulations, followed by extensive
critiques. Both informational and crisis interviews are emphasized in this
highly interactive session. |
| Executive Immersion Media Training |
A one-day, customized workshop that provides top-level executives
with intensive media training and practice to prepare them to perform in a
variety of media venues, whether conveying good news about the company or
discussing a serious problem. This session addresses the unique training needs
of senior executives who have had little or no formal media training, or who
need practice preparing for an upcoming media encounter. |
| Advanced Media Skills for Communications Professionals
|
A two-day, interactive workshop that explores recent and projected
developments in newsgathering and reporting techniques, and shows how those
changes impact the development, delivery and reception of your messages. The
focus of the session is on learning the skills essential to improving your
ability to craft and deliver concise, impactful messages that appeal to today's
journalists, and that capture audience attention. The workshop draws middle- to
senior-level communications professionals. |
| Effective Media Communications for Marketing Professionals
|
A one-day workshop that recognizes the integral role media relations
plays in a complete and successful marketing communications plan. The focus of
the session is not on communicating during a crisis, but rather confidently and
competently communicating your company's story - its products, services,
industry, or position on a specific issue. The workshop addresses the
specialized media training needs of those responsible for, or involved in,
marketing- and sales-related activities. |
| First Response Media Training |
A half-day workshop for those who may have to interact with the news
media until a designated spokesperson is available. Emphasis is on learning how
to politely decline to be interviewed or provide limited, authorized
information. The session is designed for security guards, secretaries,
receptionists, switchboard operators, shift supervisors or other personnel who
may be called upon to provide media relations assistance during a crisis or
other emergency. |
| Effective
Media Communications Refresher |
A one-day workshop that helps those who face the media keep their
media skills sharp. The session includes a review of the essentials of
effective media communications, along with extensive on-camera practice. The
workshop is designed for those who have attended The Ammerman Experience
Effective Media Communications workshop, or have had other media training.

| Remote
Interviews |
Watch TV news today, and chances are you will see someone
participating in a remote interview - where the interviewer is in one location
and the interviewee is elsewhere. These interviews present participants with
some unique challenges. As a result, we incorporate these interviews in many of
our media training sessions. |
