Crisis Communications Spokespersons Training
|
Emergency and other situations that involve the media often
require rapid decisions that, if handled incorrectly, can damage an
organization's credibility and reputation. By developing and sharpening
your communication skills, you can minimize negative or inaccurate news
coverage and help ensure that your company's key messages are delivered,
heard and understood.
Benefits of Attendance
In this session, you will learn:
| ° |
|
How to maintain a positive relationship with the media in the first hours of a crisis. |
| ° |
|
How to be a team player rather than merely an individual company spokesperson. |
| ° |
|
How to maintain a good media relationship after the crisis is over |
Practical
Learning
This is a skills-development workshop, not a lecture on concepts. As our firm's name
suggests, the training we provide is experiential. We use simulated environments, including
tough, experienced journalists. Some features of this workshop are:
| ° |
|
A quick primer on what to expect from persistent, aggressive
reporters covering your problem, crisis or event. |
| ° |
|
A total of three on-camera exercises. Each exercise is critiqued in an open forum by the instructor.
|
| ° |
|
Training based on a realistic scenario chosen by the client. |
| ° |
|
Instructors and role players with significant journalism and media relations experience. |
